My nephew Hudson is a trooper. The kid has been through more in his young life than many will endure in a lifetime. He was born with kidneys that did not function and was on dialysis for the first two years of his life. At age two he received a kidney from a donor and has been doing really well these past five years.
However, this week, after a number of tests they have found that his body is rejecting the donated kidney. Right now they are in the Children's Hospital in Michigan and the doctors are working on treatments to stop the rejection.
Here is an excerpt from Donny, "Well, after 5 great years, Hudson is rejecting his kidney. We are at Mott Children's Hospital at U of M getting steroids and plasma exchanges to hopefully stabilize things and get rid of the antigens in his blood that are attacking the kidney. Appreciate your prayers. Tough times for us. Our prayer is that this treatment would work and the rejection would stop and that we would be able to go home in between treatments."
Please join our family in praying that:
- His body would no longer reject the kidney
- The treatments would work
- Donny and Kristi and their family would find peace and strength in this time
- God would be glorified through it all
